Day 5 - The face

Now is the time to make the face of the house. Ill be making it as a completed panel, and once its done I can just slip it into place and secure it.

Ive started with the layout - 5 windows and a door. Ive pretty much centered the windows to each individual room. After I cut the openings, I will trim everything out with maple. Ive routered a 3/8 x 3/4 groove in the maple, and this will wrap the openings nicely. This is the first time Ive done a window wrap in this manner. I thought it would give a more completed and finished opening, and as shown in the photos below, it does.

In the last two photos, Ive set the face into place just to see what it looks like. Its not secured yet, but I wanted to see what it looks like...
